Dear God Write Their Names In Your Humanity Book, The 5,437,528
Dear God, please is it possible for you to write the names of all those who voted for change in Ghana on 7 December, 2016 in one of your memorable books in heaven for their love for humanity on earth? The 5,437,528 people who are all created in your image but could stand with you on that fateful Wednesday as you set out to arrest the state of hopelessness that had reared its head in Ghana. To those in power all was well because with their positions they could afford all the luxuries of life when millions of the rest of us could not meet necessities of life. They have open to them “A world Bank Account” with unlimited credit so they look after themselves and their families without any dent on their balances in the bank. They are cared for carefully as they access medical facilities in any part of the world and their children attend schools where the Ghanaian Cedi they have devalued is not accepted as the medium of exchange. And God, I know you know but let me tell you, we transferred our SOVERIGN WILL, the one you gave us on the day of our creation in the form of loan to them, to lead us but what did we get?
Since independence in 1957, we have always been let-down be a so-called group of people called “The Educated” who have never known suffering of any sort. The educated in Ghana means they have been privileged to be educated at the university and other tertiary institutions. These are people who have family connections in other parts of the Ghanaian economy, in Ghana it has always been whom you know in high places, who your parents are in society and God, to be sincere, I know you know this, about ninety nine percent are not occupying the public positions they are occupying on merit but as already said, it is whom you know. You therefore expect that if people occupy positions not earned or won on merit to be humble, honest, respectful, caring, loyal and willingness to serve but not in Ghana, they rather want us to worship them but most of us are aware that you wish us to worship you and you alone.
Today, I am standing before you and making my biggest request that reward all the men and women, the youth of our country and those who though not in Ghana yet rallied behind our people in Ghana in their quest for equity in the distribution of the national cake and voted for change.
Who am I to come to you to make such a request but your word tells me that Elijah was a man just like me, he prayed and you listened, James 5:17 so I firmly believe that you will accede to my humble request. You have gladdened my heart because for eight years, I never stopped praying to you why you caused there to be a change of government in Ghana in 2008. Though you never said anything to me,however on the first of December 2016, you presented to me in a dream Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as your chosen president of Ghana as I wake up and recorded in my dairy. (You showed me how he would be displayed on our screens, the mode of dressing and so when the pictures rolled on the screens, my wife who is NDC supporter said indeed you are a prophet)
I was one of those who sold goods at controlled prices when Rawlings came to power through military coup by the junior officers on June 4, 1979. Throughout my life, I am always looking for a government that will have the interests of the people at heart. A government that would alleviate our society of the perennial poverty they always find themselves. Did Rawlings succeed in taking us to the promise land only the pragmatist and discerning can answer that.
I am looking for government that will make it possible for every child to have equal opportunity in Ghana. Every school going child will not be denied education because of who their parents are. Every resource in Ghana will be put to economic use to grow our economy. Teachers, nurses, professional people, graduates, and all school leavers would be gainfully employed. There will be affordable health service and delivery for everybody in Ghana. The massive depression eating and wasting people away will reduce because people will be gainfully employed to enjoy quality of life. I thought Kufuor and the NPP did very well but Ghanaians bought into the lies and propaganda of the NDC to sadly vote them out of power in 2008.
When I heard that the NPP promises free education in 2012, I supported that idea and I wrote on my website: ww8.discussghana.com and www.ghanamindset.com about the importance of it.For four years, 1967,1968,1969,1970, I passed the common entrance to go to secondary school but because of who my parents were, without any connections, I ended up working as a labourer at Kusi, Oil Palm Research Centre, from 1971-1976, save money and went to Garden City Commercial college and whatever I am today, Ghana’s only investment on me was my elementary education. What about, Wilson Ampong? Joseph Mensah? Ransford Opoku Amponsah? NPP I trust will deliver on education so that IGNORANCE in our society which I have always cherished to help eliminate since 2011 will be outdated.
